Tough Mudder President Kyle McLaughlin and Director of Product Chris Maltbie sat down with World’s Toughest Podcast this week to talk about changes to the Tough Mudder Endurance Series for 2022.

New for 2022: Toughest Mudder laps will no longer be five miles long. Each lap will now be 10 kilometers, or 6.2 miles. World’s Toughest Mudder laps will continue to be five miles.

Another change to Toughest Mudder and World’s Toughest Mudder will be in the team category. Beginning in 2022 there will be no longer be a two-person team category and a four-person team category. There will be one Team division with the option of having two, three, or four members on each team. The whole team will be required to run the first and last lap of the race. For every other lap a minimum of two members of the team must be on course.
