Spartan announced today the dates, venues, and schedule of the 2022 North American Elite Series and the 2022 US National Series.
The North American Elite Series (NAES) is a five-race series to determine the men’s and women’s North American Championship. The US National Series (USNS) is a five-race series to determine the men’s and women’s Age Group champions for the United States.

The NAES is a new series for 2022. In past years the championship of North America was determined at one race, the North American Championships. This will be the first time the Spartan championship of North America is determined by a series instead of one race.
The racer’s scores from their top four races in the series will total their series score. The third race in the series will be held in Ajusco, Mexico and the fifth race will be held in Ontario Canada. With each runner’s top four scores counting and three of the five races in the US, racers that are looking to win the series will need to visit at least one of the races held outside of the US.

The USNS is a long-running series in Spartan. For the first time ever the USNS will be an Age Group focused series. In the past, Age Group runners participated in the US National Series but the focus was always on the Elites. 2022 will be the first time the USNS spotlight will be focused on the Age Group athletes.
The racer’s scores from their top three races in the series will total their series score. Top series finishers will receive prizes in the form of “non-cash” awards.
